Celebrate the arrival of the first pioneer settlers to the Salt Lake Valley! The Days of '47, Inc. remembers Utah's early pioneers with 21 separate events beginning in March and culminating with an all-day extravaganza on July 24th, a state-wide holiday.

    07/07/12	Family Fun Day Utah State Fairpark Family Fun Day Presented by The Days of '47, Inc. at Utah State Fairpark July 7, 2012 Family Fun Day once again is providing an excellent opportunity to bring families together to celebrate Utah's great heritage. Be sure to visit them at the Utah State Fairpark where we will have a lot of elbow room for cars and all our activities. They will feature large inflatables, educational crafts, games, pioneer demonstrations and live entertainment.
    07/10/12	All Horse Parade Sandy's South Towne Center All Horse Parade Presented by The Days of '47, Inc. at Sandy's South Towne Center July 10, 2012 People of all ages enjoy this parade's unique charm and the fact that only horse-related entries are invited to participate. Enjoy the excitement of tiny miniatures to National Champion giant draft horses, or entries from 4H youth groups to traditional riding groups including the National Pony Express Association. Watch riders in flashy costumes on their well-trained mounts.
    07/24/12	The Days of '47 Parade Salt Lake City Downtown The Days of '47 Parade Presented by The Days of '47, Inc. at Salt Lake City Downtown July 24, 2012 Colorful floats, bands, horses, clowns and other entries thrill thousands of spectators each year. Many families camp out on the streets the night before to ensure a great seat to catch it all the following morning. The Parade starts at State Street and South Temple.

      This venue is a fantastic experience for kids and adults. Our grandchildren had a fabulous time being totally immersed in the culture of those who settled the Salt Lake valley so many years ago! This is a perfect activity for a family reunion, a family activity, or for introducing visitors to Salt Lake's unique history. Exhibits manned by in- character guides with fun hands-on activities for kids, live animals, train rides, historical buildings, a real Indian tee-pee and a fun new gift shop make this a memorable experience for all!       Joseph Paur is a great Singer and actor He should really make a cd of him singing!! I would love to have one!! It would be the greatest thing ever!! Please encourage him to make a cd!!

      We attended the Saturday Night performance and were thrilled with the music and especially Joseph Paur!! Why doesn't he make a CD. He has a tremendous voice and his fans would love to purchase a CD... Expand
