Created in 1996 by Alan and Karen Ashton, Thanksgiving Point is the gathering place for the rapidly growing communities along the Wasatch Front and throughout the state. Their untold generosity is unparalleled, and the result is this wonderful community resource. Thanksgiving Point Gardens, the Children?s Discovery Garden, Farm Country, the Museum of Ancient Life, and the Emporium and restaurants offer stimulating and engaging experiences in a safe, family-friendly setting. They foster learning, bring families closer together and provide beautiful gathering places for groups of all kinds, giving them opportunities to share their cultural heritage and common bonds.

    Healing and Wholeness Expo Thanksgiving Point Healing and Wholeness Expo Presented by Thanksgiving Point at Thanksgiving Point May 26, 2012 The 3rd annual Healing and Wholeness Expo will include healthy cooking classes, yoga, Thai Chi classes, massages, chiropractic, makeovers with mineral make-up, nutrition screenings, delicious and healthy food samples and nutrition screenings from local alternative health practitioners. In addition, there will be tons of product giveaways including gift baskets from Whole Foods Market.

    Notion of Motion Thanksgiving Point Notion of Motion Presented by Thanksgiving Point at Thanksgiving Point July 1, 2011-June 1, 2012 Thanksgiving Point's Museum of Ancient Life will open a new interactive science exhibit, "Notion of Motion". The exhibit will feature a variety of fun, hands-on activities relating to the principle of motion through June 2012 as part of Thanksgiving Point exclusive five-year agreement with the Exploratorium Network, a prestigious national partnership that provides traveling hands-on exhibits to engage children and adults in the areas of science, art and human perception.

Free kids and Member discounts make this Festival a bargain thrifty Scots can't resist. Scotland's rich heritage of dance with all its energetic flair and precise movement is a major focus this year. Another centerpiece is competition in three major areas, Highland dancing, piping and drumming, and traditional Highland athletics.

The Children's Discovery Gardens are transformed into a princess playland where pre-registered girls may visit princess stations throughout the Garden for photo ops, mini-performances, glass slipper fittings and more! This year the Princess Festival is going to be slightly different than seasons past.

      Thanksgiving Point has no idea what a Robert Cray concert should be like... The "security" was not allowing people to dance, unless you were standing right in front of your seat. Three girls gyrated... Expand

      Thanksgiving Point has no idea what a Robert Cray concert should be like... The "security" was not allowing people to dance, unless you were standing right in front of your seat. Three girls gyrated as they danced in front of the stage but were told to go back to their seats (lots of Booos from the crowd on this). These 3 girls went outside for a break and were not allowed to come back in and not given a refund. Robert Cray even said "you guys suck" at one point during the show, because the crowd was so subdued. We purchased tickets to a Robert Cray concert, this should have been advertised as a Robert Cray show for kids. Collapse

You bent over backwards to make the 2008 Plein Air Art Festival comfortable, classy and significant for all of us artists and visitors. As an artist, I appreciated the opportunity to paint in your beautiful garden, to show my work, to meet some of Utah's finest artists and to greet so many friendly visitors.
