Westminster is a nationally recognized, comprehensive liberal arts college. Jobs has recently announced that Westminster College will be featured in the 2010 list of Military Friendly Schools to be released today. The list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America's veterans as students. Schools on the list range from state universities and private colleges to community colleges and trade schools. The common bond is their shared priority of recruiting students with military experience. Westminster has had a dedicated veterans coordinator for more than two decades and has recently signed on to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision to the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Under the new program, the Department of Veterans Affairs and Westminster will cover the total cost of tuition and fees for eligible veterans who meet admissions standards of the college.
