Wheeler Historic Farm

The Farm is a restoration of the turn-of-the-century dairy farm of Henry J. Wheeler. Maintaining the farm presents to the public the history of Utah family agriculture. It is a representation of the rural lifestyle in Salt Lake County from 1890-1920 and presents the best farming methods of the Progressive Era. Historic demonstrations and exhibits are just a few of the things that will take you back in time. Here you may discover the old time farm lifestyle once common for most families in Utah but which is now largely past and gone.

    Farm Chores Wheeler Historic Farm Farm Chores Presented by Wheeler Historic Farm at Wheeler Historic Farm January 1-December 31, 2010 Participate in everyday farm chores at Wheeler Historic Farm. For special events patrons can also participate in the gathering of eggs and feeding the pigs. The wagon ride takes patrons around the farm to get an overview of the animals, farm chores and the back woods of the farm. Also for 50 cents there is feed to give to the chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and pigeons.

    08/31/09	Storytelling at Wheeler Farm Wheeler Historic Farm Storytelling at Wheeler Farm Presented by Wheeler Historic Farm at Wheeler Historic Farm August 31, 2009 To celebrate the end of this year's very successful Summer Reading program, Salt Lake County Library Services is pleased to present a storytelling event with nationally renowned storytellers Bill Lepp and Donald Davis. Families are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, picnics and snacks. This is presented in partnership with the 20th anniversary of the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival.
