    Tour of Utah

    The Tour of Utah began as a small local stage race in 2004 with mostly state and regional amateurs competing for small prizes over three days. With each successive edition, the Tour continued to grow in size and difficulty, attracting some of the best riders in the US. In 2005 the race expanded to four days. The winner was climbing specialist Andrew Bajadahli from Colorado. Building on the momentum of the previous editions, 2006 featured some of the biggest teams in the US such as Healthnet, Navigators, BMC, TIAA-Cref, Toyota-United and Priority Health. These teams fought it out over six grueling stages with Scott Moniger of Healtnet emerging victorious.
