Natural History Museum of Utah - Rio Tinto Center

After three years of construction, the new home for the Natural History Museum of Utah, the Rio Tinto Center, is now open. Housed in an architecturally stunning building, the Museum features all new exhibits, interactive displays and hands-on activities. Don't miss the three-story Collections Wall, four outdoor terraces connected by hiking and foot trails, and stunning views of the Salt Lake Valley. The new Museum Store and Museum Cafe are just two of the enhanced visitor amenities. Discover this new location for yourself!     05/26/12	Bug Brigade Natural History Museum of Utah - Rio Tinto Center Bug Brigade Presented by Natural History Museum of Utah - Rio Tinto Center at Natural History Museum of Utah - Rio Tinto Center May 26, 2012 Observe and handle live bugs to learn about their anatomy, behavior and important ecological roles. This program encourages you to overcome misconceptions that bugs are creepy pests and offers a deeper understanding of these creatures.
    05/12/12- 05/26/12	Bug Brigade Natural History Museum of Utah - Rio Tinto Center Bug Brigade Presented by Natural History Museum of Utah - Rio Tinto Center at Natural History Museum of Utah - Rio Tinto Center May 12-May 26, 2012 Twice a month, visitors can take part in activities and observe and handle live bugs while learning about arthropod anatomy, behavior, and the important ecological roles that bugs play. NHMU offers this program to encourage visitors to overcome misperceptions that bugs are creepy pests.

From the Ground Up is an interactive exhibit about the behind-the-scene efforts that went into the the Rio Tinto Center.
