First incorporated in 1987, the Moab Arts Council has grown and adapted to meet the ever-growing interest in and need for the arts in the Moab community. It is a matter of arts pride that Utah was the first state in the nation to create a state arts organization, and Moab was not too far behind.
The mission of the Moab Arts Council is to promote and support the arts in Southeastern Utah. This is done with the belief and understanding that arts activities, events and education provide for general community well-being while contributing to economic diversity. In the "big picture" the growth of the arts simply makes Moab a better place to be for residents and visitors alike.

Salt Lake City Arts Council
The Salt Lake City Arts Council connects artists and the public by producing a number of programs in the performing, visual, literary and folk arts. The City Arts Council also provides grants to a rich and diverse group of programs produced throughout Salt Lake City, ranging from ethnic arts clubs to galleries and studios to major performing arts organizations to literary reading series and to elementary schools that invite artists to work with students in the classroom.
The Salt Lake City Arts Council produces the Twilight Concert Series, presenting national and international touring artists at weekly concerts in July and August at a downtown public plaza; the Brown Bag Concert Series, presenting local performing artists weekdays at lunchtime throughout the summer; a year-round visual arts exhibition program at the Art Barn in Reservoir Park; Guest Writers Series, monthly literary readings held at the Art Barn in partnership with the University of Utah; and the Living Traditions Festival, a three-day folklife festival that celebrates the traditional music, foods, dance and crafts from the many ethnic communities that make Salt Lake their home. The Arts Council also manages the Art Barn, a community art center and gallery space for over 75 years; Salt Lake City’s public art program; and City Arts Grants, providing direct support to a wide range of arts programs and activities occurring in the city.
