About the artist:

P e g B o d e l l  Bodell's family has been a part of Summit County for four generations. Raised in the Highland Park area of Salt Lake, she received her art education from the University of Utah. As an artist, she draws from her diverse life experiences, world travels and 25 years of residency in Park City for her artwork's subject matter and strong graphic style. She owned her own marketing and advertising firm, worked in land development and civil engineering, and developed the public art and cultural tourism programs for the Park City Arts Council. She has served a four-year term as Park City Council member from 2000 through 2004. Bodell has shown in many solo and group exhibits including: Temecula Art Center, California, Kimball Art Center, Utah, Sleeping Bear Gallery, Sun Valley, Idaho. February 2005 she exhibited her first solo exhibit in the Kimball Art Center’s Main Gallery, "Seasons Interrupted" where she introduced her new process with photo transfers. Recently she completed an eleven-week art residency in Kerala, India at the Tasara Center for Creative Weaving where she taught workshops on her dye painting process as well as English to Muslim mothers at the Apex International School. Bodell has facilitated and written several cultural community documents including: "Park City Summit County Cultural Plan", "Park City Cultural Tourism Strategic Plan", "Public Art Plan & Guidelines", " Park City Planting", for Park City Municipal and the Park City Summit County Arts Council. She was the managing director for the 2005 & 2006 Park City Literary Festival. She has raised her three daughters, Wysteria, Sundyn and Parys in the Park City area since 1978.
