I saw this play on Saturday, October 2, 2010. I left shattered and angry at the producers and director. I don't fault the acting, because it was good, considering the actors were given a butchered script that retained pathos while stripping out hope; that deleted whole scenes while adding several others, including a ridiculous penultimate scene of strawberry-eating, card-playing and hilarity while cartoon revolver-wielding Nazis crept up the stairs unnoticed. And especially egregious, given that the entire story revolves around Jews who have to hide because of their genealogy and their religion, a script that stripped out any dialogue referring to God or faith. In keeping with this literary carnage, the play ends with Mr. Frank detailing the horrors, deleting Anne's final diary entry: "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart" and Mr. Frank's statement, "She puts me to shame." Can there be any reason for mangling a significant and beloved play? Collapse

I didn't like this play - It's not a play that you would take your children to. The acting was very poor. Some girls dressed up as boys didn't look good. I would only give a 1 star rating.

I attended the Chris Proctor show at the Brigham City Arts Center on Oct. 15, 2010. First, the staff at the Arts Center were fantastic. They reserved front row seats (which really wasn't necessary as the venue is small and intimate) Really perfect for a solo fingerstyle concert! Chris Proctor's performance was outstanding. His playing was top notch, and that's saying something for a true master of acoustic guitar. His sound was excellent and he provided commentary on each songs development. If you enjoy modern fingerstyle guitar, check Chris Proctor out! The Brigham Arts Center is a nice venue for smaller scale performances with a very nice and helpful staff. Big thumbs up on venue and the artist! Collapse

The venue for this event is incorrect. It will be held on the Quad between the Student Center food courte & the Hall of Flags. As well, curtain time is at 5:00pm not 7:30pm.

This performance is a mess. Bad lighting, poor content, repetitive dance/ song with awful stage and costume design. Do not bother. Bad theatre.

On the plus side is a very solid, enjoyable cast, appealing in every way. The downside is that this musical hasn't figured out what it is. Is it a Menander comedy, an allegory, a fairy tale, or what? Until the hero and heroine take flight, it's a comedy, but after that...well, it sort of degenerates into the final "We Are Not Alone" scene from Into the Woods. And while the chemistry among the cast is excellent, problems remain with the script. I'm not sure it's a good idea to mix Valley Speak (that's California, not Utah) with classical Greek. Go see it for the performances and for an extra prod into the world of Menander, Plautus, and Terrence. Just don't expect A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. This one never gets there. Classical Indian dances usually seems like a blur of bright-colored saris and brilliant jewelry with some toe tapping music to the uninitiated. The 10-member troupe of Ramya Harishankars Abhinaya Dance Schoold bring something fresh and different while preserving an ancient art form. Pancha Maha Bhootham, which translates as Five Great Mystic Elements, is a dance choreographed strictly using the movement vocabulary of Bharata Natyam, classical Indian dance of South India. Instead of telling tales of the Gods and folk heros with hands and feet, as is more usual, this dance explores a few abstract yet tangible concepts: five elements of nature -- earth, air, fire, water and space. "Here the subject is universal, there is no need for a person to be familiar with Indian mythology to see this dance." Likewise, instead of the more typical brilliant colors, the beautiful costumes in the presentation will be in neutral hues of natures elements. All the focus is on the dance. Collapse
