Gale Center of History and Culture

The idea for the Gale Center of History and Culture was created by several long-time citizens of South Jordan. These citizens wanted to create a place to learn about and experience the rich history of South Jordan and devote space to the students and members of the community to spend time. The history and story behind the development of South Jordan is so important to the livelihood of the Wasatch Front, in Utah, that the opportunity to share the stories and history could not be passed up. Hours: Tuesday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm

Her program about author Beatrix Potter and her beloved character Peter Rabbit is sure to delight people of all ages.
      07/31/12	Etta Place Gale Center of History and Culture Etta Place Presented by Gale Center of History and Culture at Gale Center of History and Culture July 31, 2012 Etta Place will be paying a visit to the Gale Center to teach visitors about what it was like for a woman in the American West and her life with the Wild Bunch. Some of the most in-famous outlaws in Utah's history.
      08/28/12	G.I. Matt Gale Center of History and Culture G.I. Matt Presented by Gale Center of History and Culture at Gale Center of History and Culture August 28, 2012 You will be learning from Matt Jarman, an avid WWII history buff and collector of WWII military items and memorabilia. Matt will be teaching you about the experiences of WWII enlisted soldiers, and the hardships and obstacles they had to overcome.
      09/25/12	History Hunt Gale Center of History and Culture History Hunt Presented by Gale Center of History and Culture at Gale Center of History and Culture September 25, 2012 Come to the Gale Center for a night of family fun! Join this popular Gale Center History Hunt. Children of all ages can participate (children must be accompanied by an adult at all times in order to complete the activity). This will be a fun way for families to learn more about South Jordan's history!
      10/09/12	Utah Youth Storytelling Showcase Gale Center of History and Culture Utah Youth Storytelling Showcase Presented by Gale Center of History and Culture at Gale Center of History and Culture October 9, 2012 Families are invited to this state-level event that determines who will represent Utah for the National Youth Storytelling Showcase. K-12 students are encouraged to perform 5-12 minute stories.
