This is the Place Heritage Park

The 450-acre This Is The Place Heritage Park is the home of the Heritage Village living history site, which features more than 40 original and replica houses and businesses filled with villagers who demonstrate crafts, trades and home-making skills typical of 19th century Utah. There are several opportunities for hands-on crafts and activities, such as pioneer chores, school lessons and farm animals to see and pet. Kids and adults alike can ride the train or horse-drawn wagons.

Join in a watermelon eating contest, stick horse races, or roll up your sleeves for a game of tug-of-war! There's pony, train and fire-engine rides all day long! The ball will be held at The Garden Place, the Park's newest building addition. During the 1st Annual Brother Brigham's Ball in 2009, scores of ball goers enjoyed the revival of this early Utah tradition. Brigham's Ball celebrates the cultural imprint Brigham Young had on Utah as the governor and president of the LDS church. He hosted numerous dances and grand balls in the city...

It's a kick-up-your-heels good time ushered in by a country breakfast at the Huntsman Hotel, then a patriotic flag ceremony. Come hungry and try your luck at the Watermelon Eating Contest, but don't forget to lay low during the Train Robbery, they hear they might be taking hostages! If that doesn't get your heart pumping, Dr. Quackenbush and one of his secret potions will!

Built for beginners and experts alike, this race cleans you up after getting you down and dirty! 10/09/13- 10/31/13	Haunted Village This is the Place Heritage Park Haunted Village Presented by This is the Place Heritage Park at This is the Place Heritage Park October 9-October 31, 2013 There are a few haunted houses around, but only one Haunted Village! The most anticipated haunting of the season is at This Is The Place Heritage Park, where you can experience an entire village of hair raising haunts! Ghost hunters say the place really is haunted, but why take their word for it? All the itchy fingers are waiting for you, in the dark of the park.
10/17/13- 10/26/13	Little Haunts This is the Place Heritage Park Little Haunts Presented by This is the Place Heritage Park at This is the Place Heritage Park October 17-October 26, 2013 It's not scary at the Park during the day, so put on your costumes and come to the Village for a fun-filled event! Visit the Story Witch, go trick-or-treating, and with pony rides, train rides and take-home crafts your little ones will want to return for Little Haunts year after year! Make it part of your family's Halloween tradition.

Tantalizing food and festive holiday entertainment await you as you stroll through wooden vendor booths nestled amid the magical backdrop of This Is The Place Heritage Park. The St. Martin's Lantern Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting will take place the evening of December 5th, to celebrate our community-wide coat drive for children in need.
