Tower Theatre

The Salt Lake Film Society (SLFS) operates and maintains the Historic Tower Theater and the Broadway Centre Cinemas, both of which are local cinematic landmarks. SLFS has upgraded projection and sound technologies for better film presentation, and patrons of the Tower Theatre can now enjoy cool and comfortable summer screenings thanks to a major air-conditioning upgrade in mid-2005.

Scott. An insane general starts a process to nuclear holocaust that a war room of politicians and generals frantically try to stop.

Starring Christopher Lloyd and Tim Curry. Six guests are invited to a strange house and must cooperate with the staff to solve a murder mystery.
      06/22/12- 06/24/12	Monty Python and the Holy Grail Tower Theatre Monty Python and the Holy Grail Presented by Salt Lake Film Society at Tower Theatre June 22-June 24, 2012 Salt Lake Film Society presents as part of their Summer of 35 late night program, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. King Arthur and his knights embark on a low-budget search for the Grail, encountering many very silly obstacles.
      06/29/12- 07/01/12	Predator Tower Theatre Predator Presented by Salt Lake Film Society at Tower Theatre June 29-July 1, 2012 Salt Lake Film Society presents as part of their Summer of 35 late night program, Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator. A team of commandos, on a mission in a Central American jungle, find themselves hunted by an extra-terrestrial warrior.
      07/06/12- 07/08/12	The Royal Tenenbaums Tower Theatre The Royal Tenenbaums Presented by Salt Lake Film Society at Tower Theatre July 6-July 8, 2012 Salt Lake Film Society presents as part of their Summer of 35 late night program, Wes Anderson's The Royal Tenenbaums. An estranged family of former child prodigies reunites when one of their member announces he has a terminal illness.

A private detective investigating an adultery case stumbles on to a scheme of murder that has something to do with water.

Three unemployed parapsychology professors set up shop as a unique ghost removal service.

A poor village under attack by bandits recruits seven unemployed samurai to help them defend themselves.

A group of kids embark on a wild adventure after finding a pirate treasure map.

In a dystopic & crime ridden Detroit, a terminally wounded cop returns to the force as a powerful cyborg with submerged memories haunting him.

A classic fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and yes, some kissing.
      08/24/12- 08/26/12	2001: A Space Odyssey Tower Theatre 2001: A Space Odyssey Presented by Salt Lake Film Society at Tower Theatre August 24-August 26, 2012 Salt Lake Film Society presents as part of their Summer of 35 late night program, Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Mankind finds a mysterious, obviously artificial, artifact buried on the moon and, with the intelligent computer HAL, sets off on a quest.
