Sugar Space Studio for the Arts

Sugar Space Studio for the Arts is a multidisciplinary arts center in the heart of Sugarhouse seeking to present and produce innovative dance, theater and visual arts while creating programs that support the development of the next generation of creators and independent thinkers. Through performances, workshops and discussions, Sugar Space hopes to broaden community appreciation for the arts by promoting exposure to experimental international and national artists. Sugar Space is also a training institution with classes and space available for hourly rental.

      Sugar House Art Walk Sugar Space Studio for the Arts Sugar House Art Walk at Sugar Space Studio for the Arts April 13-June 8, 2012   The newly formed Sugar House Art Walk Association will be hosting a monthly Art WALK the 2nd Friday of each month beginning April 13 from 6-9pm and conclude with refreshments, music and entertainment at Sugar Space, 616 Wilmington Ave. We plan to show the Sundance movie “Love Free or Die” at 9:00pm and 11:00pm. Seating is limited and the $7 movie tickets must be reserved in advance by visiting our web site

      Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo Sugar Space Studio for the Arts Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo Presented by The Hive Theatre Company at Sugar Space Studio for the Arts June 8-June 16, 2012 The Hive Theatre Company is very excited to be producing the Utah premiere of Edward Albe's at home at the Zoo; which includes the newly penned first act, Homelife, to Albee's 1958 masterpiece, ZOO STORY. Edward Albee is a pioneer in absurdist drama who has won many Pulitzer Prizes and Tony Awards. In an unprecedented move, he decided to add this new first act about 40 years after he'd written zoo story; a move which intrigued and outraged many theatre scholars.
