Located in the 160+ year-old Chase-Young Home, a pioneer-era farmhouse located in the heart of Salt Lake City's Liberty Park, the Museum of Utah Folk Arts celebrates traditional crafts and artifacts created by members of ethnic communities throughout Utah. Exhibitions are curated from the Utah State Folk Art Collection, which is administered by the Utah Arts Council, and can feature items such as Native American baskets and beadwork, pioneer-era whittling and woodcarving, rag rugs, needlework, rawhide saddles and horse gear, retablos, textiles, and elements used in festivals and ceremonies, such as those used Dios de la Muertos altars. Exhibitions can also explore Utah's rich Russian, Basque, Indian, Japanese, or Chinese heritage.
