    Rice-Eccles Stadium

    Rice-Eccles Stadium is the premier stadium of the Intermountain region, serving the six-state area of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Nevada. It is home of the University of Utah football team, the Utah Utes. By playing host to a variety of events such as the 2002 Winter Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies, EA Sports Supercross, various concerts including U2 and the Rolling Stones, world-class soccer matches and of course football games, Rice-Eccles Stadium has provided entertainment to fans of all interests and ages.

    The stadium underwent a 50-million-dollar renovation beginning May 1997 and was completed September 1998. It is now one of the most beautiful and modern stadiums in the United States with a seating capacity of 45, 017.
