Manon Caine Russell Kathryn Caine Wanlass Performance Hall - Utah State University

The Manon Caine Russell Kathryn Caine Wanlass Performance Hall at Utah State University, known as The Performance Hall, continues to receive attention for its unique design.

The Performance Hall, which opened in January 2006, has received a Merit Award from the American Institute of Architects, California Council.

The Performance Hall was previously recognized in a Salt Lake Tribune article as one of Utah's best architecturally designed buildings.

The Performance Hall is a 20,000-square-foot building that serves USU, Cache Valley and the Intermountain region. The building is a gift from sisters Manon Russell and Kathryn Wanlass. The facility features a 400-seat performance hall, a stage for up to 22 performers and a lobby with glass windows overlooking a plaza. The hall's intimate scale is ideal for small acoustical performances, including chamber music, vocal and instrumental concerts, recitals, readings and lectures.

At its dedication, the Performance Hall was described as a premier venue that enriches the academic, professional and personal lives of USU students and faculty and is a gathering place where art touches lives.
