The Wasatch County Event Center was built in 2006 for the equestrian enthusiasts to have a place out of the harsh elements of the Heber Valley. The project met some opposition from the residents saying it wasn’t fair to build such a wonderful building for just one purpose. They were right. In response, the Wasatch County Council made some very prudent decisions to make this more than they anticipated. A structure suitable for multiple uses. We bring to you The Wasatch County Event complex.
The first event held in the event center was the 2006 Wasatch High School graduation. This event came under the direction of Mr. Tom Bonner. The graduates’ families didn’t have to crowd in shoulder to shoulder. They could sit in one of the 1,850 stadium seats or one of the 2,150 chairs set-up on the state-of-the-art removable floor. No more scorching sun or crowded seats. They deserved the best and Wasatch County gave it to them.
Since that first event there have been rodeos, horse shows, 4H stock sale and shows, wrestling, health fairs, barrel races, RV shows, soccer , baseball tryouts, concerts, circus, a lot of horse training, and even motocross races. It has been well used and serves a great benefit to our community.
