Ballet West's "Emeralds" with "Petite Mort" and "Paquita"
Presented by Ballet West at Capitol Theatre April 13-April 21, 2012 Ballet West's dynamic spring production opens with the Utah premiere of George Balanchine's lush and romantic "Emeralds" to music by Gabriel Faure. This is the first ballet in Balanchine's masterful full evening trilogy Jewels. The program continues with the Grand Pas from Marius Petipa's "Paquita," an exciting work of classical variations set to the music of Ludwig Minkus that returns to Ballet West after nearly 30 years. |
