This initiative focuses on creating change in Utah faster, better, and more effectively. National and statewide studies continue to show that women and girls in Utah are not thriving in critical areas. Year after year, Utah continues to have high levels of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and gender-based discrimination, while also ranking as the worst state for women’s equality and having low levels of women’s leadership representation in nearly all domains, including politics and business. Additional creative activities including gesture drawing, natural mandalas, mud huts, and will offer an exciting range of enriching creative activities all campers can enjoy. All clay forms will be fired and ready for pick up on Friday. Daily Itinerary: Monday: Planters, cups and house plant drawings. Tuesday: AM Underglaze planters and make garden accessories. Wednesday: AM Miniature mud towers and Natural Mandalas pressed leaf notecards. Thursday: AM Garden Ollas, glazing clay pieces. Friday: AM Planting in fired pots, teatime with mint and other herbs from the garden.

A break will be given halfway through each day. Your child may bring a snack or you can pre-purchase a Brown-Bag Snack-Pack. IMPROV CAMPS Campers will practice improvisation every day with each other and learn to think on their toes. Campers will participate in vocal and physical warmups, play improv and theatre games every day. A short performance for parents will be held during the last day of camp on Friday. Parker Theatre reserves the right to split, cancel or combine classes based on enrollment. Enrollment is available until 2 weeks prior to the start of camp in consideration of being properly staffed. You can send an inquiring about enrolling between the enrollment cut off and start of class to school@parkertheatre.org. Our class sizes typically range from 7-15 and are normally no more than 20 students per classroom.

Drop13 Big Cottonwood Canyon

Considered by many the fastest Half Marathon in Utah. The Drop13 Big Cottonwood Canyon starts at Solitude Ski Resort and runs over 3000 feet down 13.1 miles to Cottonwood Heights City. This race is not only fast but it is beautiful with views of the Spring run off in a roaring river and all the trees and plants are in full green color. This race not only has all these features but it also gives racers 4" finisher medals. Those that PR their half marathon with us get a PR (Personal Record) medal and those that lose 13lbs in the training and running of this race will also get a Drop13lbs medal (Based on Honor System). Many racers go home with up to four medals if you include Age Group winners.
