I am an eclectic artist I design faerie homes, make jewelry, create abstract photographs, paint with acrylics, custom design work specializing in Viking and Celtic knotwork and symbolism, I have even done some wood burning and experimental sculptures I am at Weber State University for, a degree in Environmental Geology while also picking up Art classes Art is in my blood but so are trees, rocks, dirt. my joy is in combining the two in various styles and mediums.

Linda Dalton Walker

Linda Dalton Walker, Salt Lake City artist and photographer, is adding a depth of beauty and intrigue to her collector’s walls. Her award winning paintings have been shown throughout the west coast and are the pride of many collectors from the east to west coast. A University of Utah graduate, Linda Dalton Walker also studied under a well renowned Italian trained instructor. Awarded photographer of the year, 2020, by the Wasatch Camera Club, Dalton’s photography is an offering of Utah’s deserts, bird refuges, and macro images of nature. Recently Linda has journeyed to Hawaii, Scotland, and Italy to broaden her photographic collection.

I have always loved art and the outdoors. I began my studies in art at Rick’s College, now BYU-Idaho, where I received an associate’s in fine art. I then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University and then stayed at home with my children when they were small. Now that they are all in school, I have gone back to receive a second bachelor’s degree from Utah Valley University and am currently working on my BFA in illustration. I love painting landscapes and doing figurative work. I love being in the outdoors and spending time with my family.

Chauncey Secrist

Visual Artist

Chauncey Secrist is an American artist, born in Salt Lake City, UT in 1980, who works in a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, ink, collage, and assemblage, and is primarily self-taught. His work has been exhibited in many galleries in Salt Lake City, including Art Access, Patrick Moore Gallery, Contemporary Design & Art Gallery, Palmer’s Gallery, and the Springville Museum of Art; and in THAT Gallery in Hong Kong, and the APW Gallery in New York. His style is constantly evolving as he experiments with new mediums, finds inspiration in new places, and delves more deeply into his own psyche. Chauncey lives and works in Salt Lake City with his daughter.

Samuel Steadman

UA&M Teaching Artist; Visual Artist

I teach Jewelry at Mountain View High School, and have for the last 17 years. I teach bench fabrication, lost wax, lapidary, lamp work beads, etching, engraving and enam- eling. I opened Bipolar Art and Jewelry in 2012, which is a small business where I design, create, and sell my jewelry. I have work in the Sundance Art Gallery and in the Datura Art Gallery. I also make custom jewelry. My winter business comes largely through social media and word of mouth. In the summer and fall have a booth at various farmers mar- kets. I have a portable studio that I take to markets and make while I sell. I taught silversmithing at Sundance for two years. I teach jewelry making at Mountain View HS in Orem, UT and have since 1999. I enjoy teaching and seeing people make things that they never thought they could. I love making jewelry and the themes of my work often evolve around other activities that I enjoy. I look to the ocean for inspiration, having grown up in San Diego where I surfed and snorkeled on a regular basis. I rock climb, kay- ak, hike, mountaineer, and do a lot with the outdoors. These themes and many other inspire my work. I really en- joy heading up to the mountains or down to southern Utah and setting up my portable studio and making jewel- ry outdoors

Markus Tracy

UA&M Teaching Artist; Visual Artist

Markus Tracy serves as a teaching artist with the Alabama, Arkansas, Nevada, South Dakota, North Dakota, Mississippi, Utah, and Nevada Arts Councils. Markus also serves as a teaching artist for the Seger- strom Center for the Performing Arts, The Center’s Arts Teach, in Cos- ta Mesa; Life Time Arts, Creative Aging Teaching; the City of Philadel- phia Mural Arts Program; and United Arts Council of North Carolina. Markus has collaborated with artists/artist teams, architects, urban planners, civic organizations, arts commissions, and cultural groups. Markus has helped to develop visual and performing arts pro- grams for public schools, cultural institutions, nonprofit organizations, juvenile facilities, and performing arts centers throughout the coun- try. One program in particular, New Directions YouthArts, has been recognized with numerous nominations and honors over the years. During a typical classroom session, students discover how and why community and/or site-specific art projects create messages for and by the people. This way, students explore ways/means to redefine our consciousness on social issues, environmental preservation and sustainability, and community and school pride. The end result is a community mural and/or site specific project that involves every par- ticipants shared ideas and experiences through drawing, painting, per- sonal photos, spoken word, and the use of found objects. I am available for short and long term residencies, professional devel- opment workshops, consultations, training workshops, lectures, and/ or coaching during the weekdays, weekends, and most major holi- days. Travel and Accommodations are negotiable.
