Hilary Carrier

I am a dancer and choreographer living in SLC. I have been teaching dance  for over thirty years. I recently retired from a teaching position at West High School in SLC after eighteen years. In my career I  taught diverse populations ranging in age from three years to 90 years old. As an independent choreographer I have produced concerts working with pick up ensembles. I am interested in pursuing site specific work. I created seven outdoor pieces over the years and want to focus my energy on new projects. I am especially interested in working with members of the community that live in the area where a chosen site exists when creating new works. I believe that people are impacted by their landscape and sense of place and am intrigued to explore that relationship.
