Lee Madrid A dragonfly lightly grazes a placid mushroom and thus is brought to life by the fleeting love the dragonfly possesses. This expression of love is what motivates Artist / Musician Lee Madrid to cultivate his talent to promote acceptance across seemingly uncross-able boundaries. This concept is central to Lee’s latest collections of work: "Embrace Mankind," "See The Music," and his latest musical production: "Entertwining Philosophies." Lee’s formal education was at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and the University of Texas in Dallas. The Universities provided a framework of musical and artistic theory, history, and production for Lee. His informal education includes performing across the country in places such as CBGB’s in New York City. Lee has worked tirelessly for more than a decade to grow as an artist. His music and art is filled with influences from his West Texas, Latino roots to his broad interests in significant icons such as Robert Johnson, Paul Simon, Buddy Holly, Nat King Cole and Billy Holiday. His artistic influences include Salvador Dali, Michael Parkes, Caravaggio, Picasso, and close friends Ruby Chacon and Jimmy Lucero. Lee’s future brings a myriad of ideas that will continue to feature his work, allow him to connect and promote acceptance.
