Shu Yamamoto

I am a visual artist with formal training in illustration and industrial design. Born in Japan, I received a BA from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music. I worked for several design studios in Japan but my work eventually took me to the West. Shortly after moving to Utah in 1983, I became a freelance artist and have been doing various commissioned work through the years. My passion the past four years has been creating portraits with cats. My choice of medium for my latest work is acrylic on canvas. I have nearly 80 paintings completed in my collection with inspiration from artists such as Botticelli, Van Gogh, and Andy Warhol.
