Term: Permanent 40hrs exempt
Rate of pay: +/- $60,000 with benefits
Education: Experience and training, in management and leadership of non-profit organizations.
Advanced experience in donor relations, CRMs and proven track record in annual fundraising campaign management.
Reports to: Executive Director

Job Summary

Join an exciting, engaging Pride Center team that provides life-saving services and resources to the
LGBTQ+ communities of Utah. This is a newly created position that is focused primarily on team/center management and fundraising/development. The Associate Executive Director will work closely with the Executive Director to ensure that the UPC team are working efficiently to accomplish the strategies and goals critical to our success, and to present a strong, positive reflection of Pride Center programs, resources and services to all stakeholders. The Pride Center seeks an individual to join our leadership team who is inquisitive, innovative, strategic, solution-oriented, collaborative, and inspired by the Pride Center’s mission, vision and values.

Responsibilities:

General oversight and management

Works closely with Executive Director on all aspects of Center success
Oversees the successful implementation of the Center’s strategic plan, which includes working
with the different department leaders to help create, measure, and track their goals.
Identifies issues and opportunities needing attention and creates recommendations
Supports the UPC team in the day-to-day running of the Center
Develops processes and systems to promote efficiency, collect data, and create reports for
executive review
Develops and grows both new and current partnerships with LGBTQ+ and other community
organizations
Fundraising and Donor Relations

Manages and implements the fundraising plan with the assistance of the Executive Director and
the Board of Directors Development sub-committee.
Helps lead and participates on the UPC Festival Planning Executive Committee.
Supports and facilitates the closing and recording of major donor and sponsor deals
Manages the fundraising plan, as well as annual campaigns
Develops systems and processes, including CRMs, for reporting and data collection to
successfully implement development strategies, including grant management
Assists the Executive Director in developing and maintaining excellent relationships with grant
funders, and both private and corporate donors
Assists with the production of outreach materials (for example – displays, brochures, flyers,
articles, press releases, website and background materials)
Requirements

Strong knowledge of LGBTQIA+ communities and issues; high sense of responsibility and commitment to UPC mission
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse staff in a multicultural environment
LGBTQIA+ leadership training, internship(s) or graduate assistantship in social work or related field a plus
Proven ability to help manage and facilitate grant applications and reports
Detail orientated and strong communication skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills
Spanish speaking a plus
