Auditions for The Wedding Singer

February 1st & 2nd from 6:30-9:30 pm
Callbacks: February 4th (invitation only)
Heritage Theater = 2505 Hwy 89 Perry, UT

Performances: Friday, April 14th – Saturday, May 6th on Mondays, Fridays & Saturdays with two matinees, Saturday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 29th.

Audition Instructions:
Please come prepared with 16 measures (about 30 seconds) of an upbeat showtune or rock/pop song that shows off your vocal range and the strength of your voice. An accompanist will be provided. We will also provide a speaker for you to plug in a phone.

Auditions are open to individuals 16 years of age or older. A small number of younger performers will be needed. However, these will be selected after the show is cast.

Heritage Theatre Utah encourages diversity and inclusion in all their productions. Performers of all ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to audition. For most roles, there is no requirement that refers to race or ethnicity. However, there are two specific roles that call for African American performers, and one that calls for someone with an Asian American background. Performers with these backgrounds are not limited to these characters only and can be considered for other roles as well.

Please, come with your audition form and a headshot as well as any conflicts you have from February 7th to May 6th.

First rehearsal will be on Tuesday, February 7th and is mandatory. Rehearsals will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday nights (6:30 PM to 9:30 PM) and Saturday mornings (9AM to NOON). Nightly rehearsals will begin on Monday, March 27th. Technical rehearsal will be held on Saturday, April 8th and will last most of the day. A more specific rehearsal schedule will be created once the show is cast.
