Auditions: Shrek: The Musical

The Empress Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for Shrek: The Musical
Auditions will be held January 25th, 2021 through February 5th, 2021. Virtually. You may start sending in videos as soon as you are ready.
Please submit a video audition to empress@empresstheatre.com The video should include 16 bars of a song in the style of the show. Callbacks will be by invitation only. Certain roles will require an in person presence at callbacks. Other roles will have callbacks held via Zoom.
In your submission please include a list of conflicts from Feb. 10 through May 15th. No conflicts will be allowed after march 16th without approval from the Director.
All roles available. The Empress encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to attend every audition. The Empress is committed to providing a space for community and inclusion free from discrimination.

PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
Callback Date: February 6th, 2021 8:00am to Noon.
First day of rehearsal: February 10th, 2021.
Range of rehearsal hours: Rehearsal times are blocked in the hours of 6pm to 10pm.
Tech begins: April 10th, 2021
First preview: April 22nd, 2021
Opening: April 23rd, 2021
Closing: May 15th, 2021
Days/times of planned performances: April 23rd, 2021 through May 15th, 2021. Fridays, Saturdays 6:00pm Call 7:30pm Performance. Matinee call 12:30pm Call 2:00pm Performance. One Thursday and One Monday, 6:00pm Call 7:30pm Performance.
