CALL FOR ARTIST - Los Muros on Main: Midvale City Mural Festival

The Redevelopment Agency of Midvale City is seeking qualified artists, or artist teams, to participate in the 2^nd annual Midvale City Mural Festival. Featuring a series of murals created by local, national, and international artists, the event will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To apply, artists must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) by Friday March 24^th @ 5PM. Selected artists will be asked to design and install a mural that is aesthetically pleasing, imaginative, iconic, and a welcoming feature for Midvale residents, business owners, and the Midvale Main Street area.

This call is open to mural artists and artist teams ages 18 and up. Artists agree to paint their murals sometime between May 30 and June 10, 2023 but all artists MUST begin painting no later than Monday June 5, 2023 and must complete their mural by Saturday, June 10, 2023. Artists (or a member of each artist team) are expected to participate in the Midvale City Mural Festival by either live painting and finish up their mural during the festival or engaging with festival attendees. Artists must communicate to both RDA staff and the property or business owner a start date.
