What is the Nonprofit Rewards Program?

Clever Octopus Creative Reuse Center wants to help you meet the material needs of your nonprofit organization! Our reuse center is chock full of a multitude of resources, from everyday office supplies, to fabric samples, colorful resin tiles, and virtually anything a crafter could dream of. Clever Octopus will provide store credit on a monthly basis to nonprofit partners. Store credit gift certificates will be based on the number of customer-awarded tokens accumulated each month. Purchases of $5 or more in the shop receive a $1 token, which represents an actual dollar worth of credit that will be awarded toward whichever partner organization the customer selects upon checkout. All shoppers will have an option to purchase additional tokens for $1 each.

Who are our Partners?

We are looking for nonprofits on the Wasatch Front in need of the resources and/or materials we provide on a consistent basis. We aim to support and further the impact of like-minded organizations dedicated to working for the underserved. We will favor local grassroots organizations as partners over local branches of national organizations, and prefer nonpolitical and nonreligious organizations. Official nonprofit status is required; if you are in the process of seeking 501c3 status and have other documents supporting your organization’s operations, please attach those to your application. With those guidelines in mind, Clever Octopus Nonprofit Partners will be selected to serve a large variety of ages, cultural backgrounds, and causes.

Quick Facts:

• For 2022, Clever Octopus will have 7 Non-Profit Rewards slots available.
• Store credits will be awarded on a monthly basis via gift cards held at the store.
• Nonprofit partners are strongly encouraged to use their funds monthly and at least quarterly.
• Award recipients will receive funding for the calendar year of 2022.
• All qualifying organizations are invited to apply for funding each year.

Please submit your NRP application electronically by November 12th, 2021 as a PDF or word document file emailed to nonprofitpartner@cleveroctopus.org (must include photo and other necessary attachments). Please note a hard-copy application is not necessary.
