Ready to explore a career in art museums? The Utah Museum of Fine Arts ( UMFA ) at the University of Utah is looking for a highly motivated, well-organized emerging professional to support the Assistant Director of Learning & Engagement while working closely with colleagues across the Museum in an energetic, creative, and supportive environment.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Learning & Engagement, the Coordinator supports Museum-wide objectives by administering engaging and dynamic programming for adults and University audiences including collection and exhibition-related lectures, films, concerts, and panel discussions; health and wellness initiatives; community engagement initiatives, etc. The coordinator will develop partnerships and collaborate with University of Utah students, faculty, and staff—as well as the broader community—in order to create impactful and meaningful experiences for adult audiences. The Coordinator will ensure that all programming encourages active participation and celebrates multiple perspectives and voices by connecting participants to UMFA’s global collection and creating opportunities to arrive at new understandings about art, each other, and the world. The Coordinator will help to advance the UMFA’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility ( IDEA ) across all aspects of the Museum’s work, and to being a museum where our communities find themselves represented, welcomed, engaged, and heard.

The UMFA is committed to diversity and equal opportunity. We encourage applications from people who self-identify as minorities or members of underrepresented groups.
