The Utah Division of Arts & Museums’ DesignArts Program is pleased to announce a call to designers for the annual DesignArts Utah '21 juried exhibition, held virtually September 7 – October 15, 2021. The deadline to apply is June 18, 2021.

Information and how to submit designs is at https://artsandmuseums.utah.gov/design-arts-2/. Designers in any design field are encouraged to submit their work: realized, conceptual, or prototype designs are eligible. The designer selected as the Juror’s Award Winner will receive a $3,000 award. Two designers selected in the student category will each receive a $500 award.

This exhibition honors and celebrates Utah's great designers and provides an opportunity for the public to learn about and engage with the design community’s work. DesignArts Utah is excited host this celebration of design. The free exhibition will be an online / virtual.

Ms. Antionette Carroll will serve as juror for DesignArts Utah ’21. Ms. Carroll is the Founder, President and CEO of Creative Reaction Lab.  Ms. Carroll pioneered an award-winning form of creative problem solving called Equity-Centered Community Design. She is the Founding Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force of AIGA and launched the Design Census Program with Google, Racial Justice by Design Initiative, Diversity and Inclusion Residency, and the national Design for Inclusivity Summit with Microsoft.
