We saw a lot of great talent Tuesday and Wednesday, but we also heard from several people who had scheduling conflicts with our audition dates. To make sure everyone who wants to audition has an opportunity, we're opening another day of auditions! Please join us between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 8th at the old West Jordan library (1970 W 7800 S, West Jordan, UT 84088). See you there!

Sugar Factory Playhouse / West Jordan Theater Arts is excited to announce auditions for "It's a Wonderful Life" adapted by James H. Rodgers and faithfully based on Frank Capra's classic film.

"It's a Wonderful Life" is the saga of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty, whose guardian angel has to descent on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him—by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born—that his has been, after all, a wonderful life.

Auditioners should come prepared with 2 one-minute contrasting contemporary monologues (e.g. one dramatic monologue and one humorous monologue). These monologues should be memorized (or very close to it). We are looking for acting, characterization, and risk-taking, not just an ability to recite the monologues.

Headshots and theater resumes are encouraged but not required.

We are looking for actors ages 6 and up and of all ethnicities, and no roles have been or will be pre-cast. Small children must have an adult that can commit to being at all rehearsals and performances with them.

Performances will be Dec 3 (2 p.m. matinee) and 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 12 (7:30 p.m.) at the Midvale Performing Arts Center. "It's a Wonderful Life" is directed by Adam Cannon, and any questions can be directed to him at aqcannon@gmail.com or 801-420-8519.
