We are now accepting applications for Test Site Lab 1 and 2!  Test Site includes 24-hour access to an individual art studio space and printmaking studio at BDAC. This residency was designed to encourage artists' experimentation while they work towards a solo exhibition in our Annex Gallery.  Artists are selected annually by an outside juror.

Test Site's Emerging Artist Program provides a high-school student with 24-hour access to our studio during the summer.

This is an application to apply for our Artist in Residency at Bountiful Davis Art Center in for fall 2019. Our program includes the following:

24/7 access to a private studio space
access to our our facility and printmaking studio
A solo exhibition after the duration of your residency
ELIGIBILITY
Professional artists are invited to submit an application for review. Professional artists working in media such as drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed-media, video, and fiber may apply. Applicants must not be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate coursework during the duration of the residency. This residency is meant to facilitate experimentation and change to your work, practice, and/or ideas.

DEADLINE
All applications must be complete and submitted online no later than 11:59 PM JULY 31, 2019. We strongly recommend using this online form to apply, however we will accept mailed proposals under extenuating circumstances. Mailed proposals must be postmarked no later than July 12, 2019. IMAGES OF WORK
Please submit documentation of art via this online form. Please provide 10 images for consideration. Photos should be high-resolution (approx. 1920 pixels at the longest side and at least 72 dpi) images of work, which may include detail views. Professional-quality images are encouraged. If you have technological issues please contact us to make appropriate  BIO/CV/RESUME In a single PDF file submit a biography and/or CV or resume. Limit biographies to 200 words or fewer. Tip: InDesign or Word can export files as PDF arrangements.

ARTIST STATEMENT
A statement of up to 500 words relating to the submitted work is required. This may include topics such as the artist's purpose or concept, materials, process, subject matter, as well as artists, theories, and discourse that influence the work.

LETTER OF INTENT
Please provide a description for a project that you would like to pursue or topic that you would like to research during your residency. Also, explain how program participation will affect your practice specifically how it will help you experiment and expand you work/ideas. Please limit your response to 350 words.

BIO/CV/RESUME/REFERENCES
In a single PDF file submit a biography and/or CV or resume as well as list three references with contact information. Limit biographies to 200 words or fewer. Tip: InDesign or Word can export files as PDFs.

NOTIFICATION
Selected artists will be notified by July 2019. Residency will take place in the fall of 2019 and winter of 2020.

PLEASE NOTE: BDAC reserves the right at any time to decline to display any art that is damaged, unprepared for installation, excessively fragile, dangerous, or which fails to meet our standards of quality. All exhibited art is protected by insurance while under the care of BDAC. Exhibited art may be listed for sale. Commission is 65% to the artist 35% to BDAC.
