Our next SUAG art show at the Red Cliff Gallery will be “The Gift of Art” show and will run from November 12 through December 16. We will be sharing the space with a DSU art major, Jordan Whicker.
Art check in will be Wednesday, November 10, from 12-5pm. You may enter up to 3 pieces. This is our “small art show” that is intended to encourage holiday gift sales so there is a maximum size limitation of 30 inches including the frame. The measurement of the width plus the length cannot exceed 30 inches total. All media may be entered.
Please note that all entries must have a wire on the back for hanging, should have been created within the past 2 years and have not been shown in a previous Red Cliff Gallery Show. Entry fee is $15 for 1 piece and $20 for 2-3 pieces.
You must be a paid 2021 SUAG member to enter (SUAG Application). Please see below for the fillable Show Application and Back of Artwork Tags that are required for show registration. We encourage you to fill these out before arriving on the day of registration.
Artist Awards Reception will be held Friday, November 12, from 6-8pm with live music and refreshments. Art pickup is Friday, December 17, from 8am-12pm. Also, please mark your calendar for our SUAG member holiday party to be held Friday, December 10, 6-8pm at the Red Cliff Gallery.
Judging criteria for this show is:
· Use of Light and Color
The award system includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each of the 3 categories: 2D wall art (all painting, drawing, pastels, and mixed media), photography and 3D art.
Awards for all shows:
· Best of show- $150 (overall show)
· 1st Place- $75 each Category
· 2nd Place – $50 each Category
· 3rd Place – $35 each Category
· 8 Honorable Mentions –(4 for painting, 2 each for photography and 3D) $15 each Category
· People’s Choice Award from previous art show – $30
