The Grand Theatre announces auditions for The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!). The auditions will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 12:30pm to 6pm.

Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show, an accompanist will be provided. Please bring the sheet music for your song, a headshot, resume, and the attached and completed audition form to your audition: Audition Form

Auditions will be held in the Grand Theatre Facilities & Arts Annex at 1610 South 250 East, Salt Lake City 84115. Parking is available at no charge in the South-East parking lot off of 1700 South. Please enter on the North side of the building.

The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) will be directed by Jim Christian.

Callbacks will be on Monday, November 11th from 6pm to 10pm. Callbacks will include sides, vocal callbacks, and a movement portion, so please wear clothes you can move in.

The show will run Wednesday – Saturday, February 13 – March 7, 2020.

Rehearsals will begin on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 and will be held (apart from tech week) Monday – Friday from 6pm to 10pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

Character Breakdown
June – The ingenue, the leading lady who cannot pay her rent.
Billy – The hero, the leading man romantic interest who, in the end, valiantly offers to pay the rent, whether he can or not.
Jitter – The villain, the landlord figure of each musical who demands the rent be paid to him or another form of recompense offered.
Abby – The matron, the older woman to whom June turns for advice, always with the words "Thank you Abby, that was so helpful".
