The Grand Theatre announces auditions for the regional premiere of Aaron Sorkin's new adaptation of Harper Lee's classic novel, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD will be directed by Mark Fossen.
Auditions are Saturday, January 11, 10 am–2 pm.
Callbacks are Monday, January 13, 6–10pm. Callbacks will include sides.
Rehearsals (apart from tech) begin on Saturday, February 15, 2020 and will be held Monday–Friday, 6 pm–10 pm and Saturdays, 10 am–4 pm.
Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays, March 26–April 11, 2020.

This play is the 2018 version currently running on Broadway. It is very different in tone and setting than the version produced in previous years. Many, if not all, of the roles have changed in some way. There are no children in the show.

The play is a memory play occurring in the minds of Scout, Jem and Dill, now adults looking back on their childhood in Maycomb, Alabama. The three serve as narrators and actors, adults and children, moving in and out of the action as it unfolds.
