19th Annual Latin American Dance Spectacular- Afro Peru Cultural Journel & Master Class

The Utah Hispanic Dance Alliance presents a FREE Community Outreach Program exploring the fusion of African musical traditions and native Peruvian Folk Dance during the Peruvian Colonial era into what is now know as Afro-Peru Dance.

Los Angeles Based Artist, Nadia Ysabel Calmet and Former UHDA Titular Dancer , Evelyn Chavez, Will Present a FREE Afro-Peruvian Outreach Program on Friday, December 14th, 2018 From 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Black Box Theater at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Downtown Salt Lake. Nino is also a cultural presenter, educating and entertaining audiences of all ages. Nino was one of five flute players selected to be part of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
