Don’t forget to make a note on your family calendar for the Tonaquint Nature Center’s Fall Festival & Pumpkin Alley. The annual event is set for Monday, October 26, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 pm. This is great family outing for the whole family to enjoy together. General admission is free. The only costs involved are $1 per craft and 25 cents per bag of popcorn.
Kids can test their skills with our carnival games: Eyeball Squirt, Witches Brew Toss, Swampy River Run and more! They can also participate in the family scavenger hunt on the trails around the nature center and make a Halloween theme craft ($1/craft). The Black Cat face painting and tattoo parlor will be on hand with free face painting and tattoos throughout the event.
At 6:30 pm, prizes will be given out to the top pumpkin decorators in the pumpkin alley contest! Bring your best pre-decorated pumpkin (carved and non-carvers) to the event before 6:30 pm. All pumpkin submissions MUST be created by the individual that is submitting the pumpkin. Prizes will be awarded to the 2 best decorators in each of the age categories.
In additional to the festival at the Nature Center, the Washington County Water Conservancy District will be hosting their Fall Garden Fair at the Garden area of the park. Plan to make an evening of spending time at Tonaquint Park on this night! For more information about the event’s activities you may call the St. George Leisure Services Department at 627-4500.
