A European Journey

The program will open with Debussy’s Nocturne, Fetes (Festivals). Written for a large orchestra including piccolo, contra-bassoon, English horn and full brass and percussion section. This is a work of great majesty, beauty and energy and is one of the best examples of Debussy’s orchestral writing.

The Debussy will be followed by Chopin’s Andante Spiniato and Polonaise Brilliante for Piano and Orchestra. The piano soloist will be Lindsay Tarbet. This is a highly virtuosic work requiring great
