Art Therapy for Survivors of Sexual Assault, with Jill Johnson

Art Access and Jill Johnson, an art therapist, have teamed up to offer survivors of sexual assault a safe and creative forum to express their experience, emotions and trauma. Based on the Open Studio Project, founded in Chicago, participants will explore various art mediums individually and through collective group experience. Participants will learn about intention, art-making and witness writing. Utilizing participant narratives, we will work together to heal and transform trauma into tools of learning, self-awareness, understanding, strength and compassion.
