Bears Ears and the Fight for Sacred Lands: Writers from Edge of Morning at Ogden Union

In support of tribal efforts to protect the Bears Ears, a panel discussion of Native writers bear testimony to the fragile and essential nature of this sacred landscape in America’s remote red rock country.

Contributing writers from Edge of Morning: Native Voices Speak for the Bears Ears explore the reasons why the Bears Ears area represents more than an extraordinary landscape. Join sovereignty scholar and activist Moroni Benally (Diné) who will moderate the discussion with Edge of Morning editor Jacqueline Keeler (Diné/ Yankton Dakota) and contributors Kimball Bighorse (Diné /Cayuga) and Regina Lopez-Whiteskunk (Ute Mountain Ute) at 5:30 pm Saturday, June 24, at Ogden Union Station 2501 Wall
