Granary Arts invites you to join us for “Captioned”, a solo exhibition by Liza Sylvestre, curated by Jason Judd / On view October 12, 2018 – January 25, 2019.

Captioned by artist Liza Sylvestre is a feature length, single-channel video interpretation of the 1934 screwball comedy film “Twentieth Century” starring John Barrymore and Carole Lombard. As an individual with a profound hearing impairment, Sylvestre depends on closed captioning or other interpretive texts to have complete understanding of films. UDAM Teaching Artist; Musician | Nino is a Northern Traditional Dancer, carrying on the Tradition of the warrior, wearing the eagle bustles of past days. Nino is also a cultural presenter, educating and entertaining audiences of all ages. Nino was one of five flute players selected to be part of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
