Caregiving 101 Classes

Beginning April 5th at 6:00 pm

80% of Salt Lake County’s aging population ages in place at home. Family caregivers work to find viable resources to sustain the care of their frail and vulnerable family members. The greatest struggles have proven to be in care planning, family dynamics and making tough care decisions. With this challenge in mind, the SLCo Aging & Adult Services Caregiver Support Program offers a six part caregiver skill-building academy to minimize the stress of family care environments and the assist families in their resource and decision making process.

The six education sessions include:

April 5th : Finding Caregiver Resources.
April 12th : Compassion Fatigue and Building Resilience.
April 19th : Family Dynamics: Involving the Family.
April 26th : Setting Good Care Boundaries.
May 3rd : Coping with Difficult Behaviors.
May 10th : In-Home and Facility Based Care Choices.
