Change in the mountains, normal or not?

This week’s investigations focus on change in the Uinta Mountains of Utah–change that’s impacting many mountains in the American West and around the world.

On Monday through Thursday, we’ll focus on the following questions:

Wednesday: Who wins and who loses in a rapidly changing forest? Part one

Thursday: Who wins and who loses in a rapidly changing forest? Part two

Friday: A question and answer session with our research scientist

Courses are underway now and are:

Facilitated by a professional NHMU educator
Interactive and available free of charge
Offered weekdays beginning at 9:30 AM MDT
Taught in multiple sessions with fresh content each day

These were designed for middle school students, but students of all ages are welcome

You can do some, or all, the classes. And you do not need to do them in order!

We’ll offer all students who complete each class a digital Certificate of Completion.

Research Quest is a free digital online platform aimed at middle school students that provides supplemental science education and critical thinking opportunities using research and objects from the Natural History Museum of Utah’s collections.
