Christmas Bird Count

The CBC is an annual census of birds performed by volunteer birders. Participants will meet at the EcoCenter for coffee and snacks then split up into teams to cover areas from Jordanelle north, to Jeremy Ranch and Summit Park east, to Rockport and Peoa. Please note, this is not a guided tour and no counts will take place solely on the Swaner Preserve. Participants will be assigned a location at the event. Participants will drive or carpool with others to their assigned location from the EcoCenter, and should be able to identify birds on their own or with their team. Our partners at Basin Recreation have made a vehicle available for a group to join their team. Binoculars are available to borrow if you do not have your own.
