Come Dancing Tonight at the Contra Dance!

Social! Active! Easy! Fun!

Come dance to live traditional music! No special skills or partner required. First time? Come early to the beginner’s workshop at 7 pm to learn a few basic figures. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Can’t wait to dance with you!

$10 General Admission
$5 Youth (7-25 years old)
Children 6 and under are free

Credit cards accepted, cash much preferred! If the above prices are a hardship, please come anyway! We can accept a sliding scale of what you can afford. Also, if you’ve got some extra, we gladly accept donations!!!!

KATIE SHEEN ABBOTT

Choreographer; Dancer; Musician; UDAM Teaching Artist | Katie regularly performs throughout Utah with her cuadro which includes: Jake Abbott (guitar and cante), Sandy Meek (guitar), and Julie Sheen (cajon and palmas). While growing up in Utah she studied jazz, ballet, tap and hip-hop. After moving to Baltimore, Maryland for graduate school she fell in love with Flamenco after taking her first Sevillanas class. She studied with Solange Gomes for several years in Salt Lake City and most recently she lived in Sevilla, Spain where she studied with many flamenco maestros, including Luisa Palacio, Angel Atienza, Isabel Bayon and Javier Baron.
