A conference on railroad photography and art with a focus on transcontinental railways, past and present.
The Center for Railroad Photography & Art proudly announces that registrations are open for Conversations Transcontinental 2019, to be held at the co-hosting Brigham Young University Museum of Art on March 29-30, 2019. Presentations will take place in the museum’s auditorium.

Registration for Conversations Transcontinental is open to the public for $95, with a student rate of $50. BYU faculty may register at the student rate of $50 and BYU students are welcome to attend the conference at no charge. Those interested in supporting the Center’s mission to preserve and present significant images of railroading can register as a patron for a slightly higher fee. This additional support helps offset travel costs for presenters and other operational fees relating to programming.

The conference will commence at noon on Friday, March 29th. Registration and check in will be held from 12-1:00 PM and presentations will begin at 1:00 PM. Following the final presentation on Friday the museum will host an exhibition reception for the opening of After Promontory from 5-7:00 PM. Appetizers and refreshments will be available at no charge.
Saturday events begin at 8:30 AM. Registration and breakfast will be available at the museum from 8:30-9:30 AM. Presentations will begin at 9:30 AM and run through 5:30 PM. Lunch and several snack breaks are included with registration.
