Day of the Dead Celebration

Celebrate Day of the Dead at SUMA! Participants can enjoy a variety of activities, such as decorating sugar skulls, creating paper marigolds, face painting, and a live mariachi band. Traditional foods and drinks like pan de muerto, tamales, and atole will be available. SUU student artwork inspired by the Day of the Dead will be on display in the Rocki Alice Gallery. This event is free and open to the public.

DAVID HABBEN

Graphic Designer; UDAM Teaching Artist | David received his BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2006. In 2008, he became one of the first illustrators to become a Children’s Book Design Fellow at Chronicle Books in San Francisco. For the next eight years, David continued to work as an illustrator and designer, both in-house and freelance. Then, In 2017, he earned his MFA in Studio Art, with a Graphic Design emphasis, from The University of Utah.
