Welcome to the East Canyon Triathlon! This race boasts stunning scenery, a fast, technical bike course, and hometown hospitality like no other; with both Sprint and Olympic distance races to choose from. 5:00-7:45am: T1 at Swim Start Opens. Bike Check-In. East Canyon North Marina
5:00-7:00am: T2 Open at Riverside Park in Morgan City. This is where you will drop all your run gear.
5:30-7:45am: Race Day Packet Pick up. Please do your best to come Thursday, but if you can’t, we will have VERY limited packet pick up on race morning at the start line. Please plan on arriving early to avoid lines.
PLEASE remember that USAT REQUIRES that you must show photo ID at packet pickup and your USAT membership card (if you have one). Don’t have a USAT card? No problem, you can purchase a one day or annual USAT license at packet pick up.
You may NOT have someone else pick up your packet for you. We love you, but USAT wins on this one. If you forget yours in the car, you will need to go back and get it.
*Relay teams: your entire team must be present before your packet will be issued
Because of the nature of this venue, we HIGHLY recommend that you pick-up your packet on Thursday or Friday so you can set up your gear Friday evening and Saturday morning at both transition areas.
6:00am: Shuttles to Race Start (You will catch the shuttle in Morgan City at the finish line area in Riverside Park). The last shuttle will leave at 7:00am SHARP. No bikes are allowed on the shuttles. Please note the $3.00 per person charge (per the state park) that must be paid before getting on the bus.
7:00am: Last Shuttle leaves T2 in Morgan City
7:00am: T2 closes
8:00am: Olympic race starts
8:30am: Sprint race start
8:30am:10k run start (Riverside Park)
9:00am: Last Shuttle Leaves East Canyon to Morgan City
10:30am: Sprint awards ceremony
11:00am: Olympic awards ceremony
