Exhibition | Carved Rock: How Water Shaped Land & Life in Clear Creek Canyon

“Carved Rock: How Water Shaped Land & Life in Clear Creek Canyon” is a new exhibition at Fremont Indian State Park that explores how the water of Clear Creek carved a canyon passageway through daunting mountains and has served as a source of life and symbol of sustenance to people using the canyon for the last 10,000 years.

This exhibition accompanies the Smithsonian Water|Ways exhibition, stopping in in the Sevier Valley from August 22 to October 11, 2020 at the Fremont Indian State Park Museum.

Water|Ways is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and Utah Humanities, touring in partnership with the Fremont Indian State Park & Museum. Water|Ways and associated events are part of Think Water Utah, a statewide collaboration and conversation on the critical topic of water presented by Utah Humanities and its partners.
