Experiments in Mark Making: The Expressive Line with Jim McGee

This class allows students express themselves by tapping into that simple, childhood joy of making marks on a surface.  Students will explore the possibilities of what a humble “line” can be, while creating a series of abstract, expressive works on paper with a variety of media.  We will gain appreciation and inspiration for the work of artists best known for their use of expressive line like Cy Twombly and Joan Mitchell. Please be prepared to get a little dirty and have a lot of fun!
